NATIONAL CARIBBEAN HERITAGE MONTH

 
 
June marks the proclamation of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month (NCAHM),
the nationwide commemoration of Caribbean American contributions to the
United State of America (USA).

 
The Caribbean American community continues to have a tremendous impact on the growth of the
United States, the growth of the diaspora, and the power of our traditions. This Caribbean Heritage
Month, let's continue to build up our communities and celebrate our roots. Learn more about how
the Authentic Caribbean Foundation is helping to lead the way.


Unity rally on June 3, 11:30 a.m. with featured speaker, Associate Professor Fiona Vernal, PhD;
recognition by the office of the West Hartford Mayor Shari Cantor, the state legislative delegation,
local elected officials, and lively Caribbean entertainment. Performers include Salsa Dancers and Steel 
Drum artists.
